“The playground, instead of telling the child what to do becomes a place for endless exploration, of endless opportunity for changing play. And it is a thing of beauty as the modern artist has found beauty in the modern world.” Isamu Noguchi, 1967

Inspired by Isamu Noguchi’s unrealized “Playscapes”, in which he proposed playground designs that were molded from the earth; establishing a strong bond between children and nature from a very young age.

The collection celebrates the juxtaposition between the raw and the regal, the ancient with themodern whilst working with sustainable material, Tagua Nut, a natural substitute for ivory.

The collection pays tribute to the artistic enigma of ancient civilizations such as the tempered use of shakudo, a centuries-old Japanese metal coloring technique for inlays.
